Current Samsung Galaxy S2 Owners will be happy to hear that Samsung’s latest firmware for it’s flagship Android phone is now available through the Samsung Kies application. Below are some of the improvements included with this build:
- Better battery life
- More accurate GPS readings
- Improved Performance
- Few Upgrade Apps (Including Samsung Apps)
- Fixed “pink spot” bug in camera app
This is the third update Samsung has made available for the Galaxy S2. Â You can update your phone’s firmware through tapping “system updates” or connect through Samsung Kies. Â Make sure you update your firmware to KE7! Â After completing the update process, to confirm the update, make sure Gingerbread.XWKE7 is displayed in the system settings. Â Leave your feedback in the comments section.
Enjoy!

I received my sgs2 brand new at the beginning of sep 2011, and it came with KE7 installed already. Nevertheless, the pink spot is painfully present! Very disappointing.
Mine Is Gingerbread.xwkf3
How can i upgrade it
is there any update for 2.3.3 gingerbread xwke8 for galaxy s2.
yes, there is a firmware update “KF3″ via Kies.
I supposedly updated but am showing Gingerbread.BVKH2
Where does this fit, in the scheme of things?
I’m not an expert (I suggest referring to the guys at XDA dev), but the letters correspond to a date. K “might” be the year, but the letter proceeding the K is the month. The number following is the build release for that month. Not all releases come through Kies; they’re largely developer releases.
I believe KH would be a September release. But I defer to the XDA guys for those details…
i too have the BVKH2
Full Kernal Version is
2.6.35.7 -I9100BVKH2-CL453351 root@Dell150 #2
I just bought my Samsung Galaxy S2 last week and so happy about it. I’ve done some flashing and tweaking it and still works perfect.
I also post a guide on how to flash a firmware on the Samsung Galaxy S2 for your reference.

Thanks.
im satisfied with my device and i need update
my camera settings (shortcuts, settings like autocontrast etc) reset whenever i exit the app and reload it. Why is this? It’s a horrible bug
its as if it clears the settings file whenever I leave the application
I am really happy with the new KE7. I just updated a few minuyes ago. Biggest improvement for me was . that the screen brightness is much darker now. means more batterylife. i will post some results later if i can find anything else usefull. btw where are the patch notes so i could see exactly what changed? sorry for the typos.
Love it
